About Lead Saskatoon Futures, Inc.

Lead Saskatoon Back Into Action

The non-profit organization made up of volunteers which was formed in 2003 because of the embarrassing voter turnout of 26% in the previous election is now gearing up for October 28, 2009. The organization continues to stay with its original mandate of not supporting a slate of candidates or financially supporting any candidate.

The group is concerned about voter complacency in the 2006 election given the current level of growth and job creation in the city. LEAD Saskatoon believes that this is not the time to be apathetic but rather to participate in the democratic process and influence the shaping of our city's future and maintaining our quality of life.

IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE IN OUR CITY, GET OUT AND VOTE.
IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE, GET OUT AND VOTE.

LEAD Saskatoon has the following three goals:

  1. Increase voter awareness;

  2. Increase voter participation - a minimum of 50% voter turnout, and

  3. To elect individuals who have a passion, are knowledgeable and have demonstrated leadership skills to lead our city through challenging times.
Why Is Leadership Important?

We need experienced elected leaders who can inspire vision and develop creative solutions for our city to thrive and prosper. The council team needs strong leadership in a rapidly changing and challenging future. Communities without leadership will fail as they will not direct and manage change.

We must elect the most capable community leaders because their decisions will impact our community for decades.
